16th November 2024 Annual VYA Dinner
We have now firmed up arrangements for the 2024 VYA ANNUAL DINNER.
I’m very pleased to say we have again procured the lovely venue on Hayling Island for the 2024 event and this will take place on the 16th November 2024 at the Langstone Hotel

Langstone Hotel and Environment
Langstone Quays Resort sits on the beautiful and historic Chichester harbour, on the northern tip of Hayling Island in the heart of the Hampshire coastline.
Hayling Island - is a true island, surrounded by water. Looking at its north to south orientation, it is shaped like an inverted T, about 6.5 km (4 miles) long and 6.5 km (4 miles) wide. A road bridge connects its northern end to the A27 on the mainland of England at Langstone. To the west is Langstone Harbour and to the east is Chichester Harbour.
Transport links
By road, close to the A27, turn south at the Havant Roundabout. By rail, the station about 3 miles away at Havant with trains from the mainline station in Southampton travelling from London Waterloo to Portsmouth with countrywide connections. There is Portsmouth City Airport.
Dinner
Please see the three course dinner menu ( downloadable from your VYA WebCollect account ) for you to make your selection.
Cost per person is £38 with payment to be made directly to the Vancouver Yachts Association using your VYA WebCollect account. Your menu selection should be sent to Cindy Hammond as directed on the form.
Accommodation
The Langstone Hotel is ideal for our event. There are over 100 beautifully appointed rooms available. The room rates, which include breakfast, are:
Double Standard at £120 each
Double Deluxe at £160 each
To avoid disappointment, it is recommended you book your accommodation as soon as possible to secure one of these lovely rooms/suites DIRECTLY WITH THE HOTEL - tel : 023 9246 5011 - quoting ‘VYA’.
The Weekend
Why not make it a full weekend by adding a Sunday night as well. If booked at the same time as the Saturday the hotel will honour the special price, including breakfast, for the second night. If sufficient members stay on for the Sunday and Monday and interest is expressed, then a program perhaps of walks and visits (with possible discounts) could be arranged. Alternatively, you may prefer to just relax at the hotel and stroll in the gardens.
